 "Email address already in use"?

On my Ubuntu 10.10, using Boinc Manager 6.10.58, I can"t make a new account. Whatever (gmail) address I put in, it tells me the same thing. Requesting a new password doesn"t work either, as I"m pretty sure I haven"t signed up before.
The long description of the error reads "An account with that email already exists and has a different password than the one you entered."

Error is NOT depending on Boinc Version / Win xx / Linux ...

All the same.

Creating a new account is rejected. Account is supposed to be exist... But Freehal can"t find this email adress in his database.
